This photograph shows Linda McCartney – the artist’s mother – carefully holding a frog between her fingers. Mary McCartney’s mother is often featured in her photography, here, the image can be seen as an homage, as both mother and daughter enjoyed and worked in photography. The image of her rescuing a frog also illustrates a deep concern held by Linda McCartney as a prominent activist and campaigner for animal rights.
